Podcast
I host a podcast companion to my bestselling Substack, Friday Night Readers, a Gilmore Girls inspired virtual book club.
Friday Night Readers
Friday Night Readers is a virtual book club inspired by Gilmore Girls and hosted by Julianne Buonocore, who has run a Rory Gilmore reading challenge since 2020 and wrote the Unofficial Guide to the Books on Gilmore Girls. Fueled by coffee, she breaks down the books on the show, so you actually understand what the characters are talking so fast about, and helps you read, live, and write like Rory. Participate in a community that feels like Stars Hollow with us.

“I was so excited to learn Jules was starting a podcast! These are Two of my favorite things Books and Gilmore girls- Jules is truly the best- can’t wait for more To come!”
“‘I live in two worlds. One is a world of books.’ And the other is the world of Gilmore Girls! And no one brings these two worlds together better than Jules! I am so excited for this show and to spend time in a virtual Stars Hollow with a kindred spirit.”
“I’m so excited for this podcast! I can’t wait to spend my Friday nights listening.”
“Jules’ podcast is a delightful blend of Rory’s love for books and the enchanting, cozy small town charm of Stars Hollow. Listening to it feels like shaking up a snow globe ~ only instead of snow, it’s filled with vibrant autumn leaves, quirky characters, and a whole lot of heart that makes Stars Hollow so magical.
Each episode is a fun swirl of Gilmore Girls goodness from behind the scenes facts, pop culture gems, music throwbacks, and of course, tons of literary heart and love. Jules has a way of unpacking all the clever references that make the show so special, making it perfect for longtime fans like me and curious newcomers.
For me, it’s pure nostalgia as if I’m popping in a Gilmore Girls DVD back in the early 2000s and flipping through the bonus pop culture guide that came in the box set. (If you know, you know haha)
So grab a Santa burger, toast a Pop-Tart, pour some coffee (obviously), and let Jules whisk you away to your own little corner of Stars Hollow. It’s the perfect Friday night escape.”
